Hi to everybody
I have got a 2001 S40 2.0 at 232.000 km
three weeks ago my car did not start and check engine light appeard. The car had no codes. MAF sensor is ok.
ETM was cleaned; idle control valve, spark plugs changed.
Now the car easily starts at cold start up but then almonst stalls. 2 minutes after the engine increases the idle speed automaticly up to 900 rpm from 500 rpm and there is no problem with driving.
Can you help me with this problem?

Engine Coolant Temp sensors have high failure rate on this model. The failure begins with the sensor having error in its reading that leads to ECM not knowing the actual coolant temp. WHen ECM does not know the correct temp then it meters in the wrong fuel amount for cold running.
Change the ECT sensor and it may cure your cold running issues.
You likely had a code but your scanner did not show extended codes.
