2008 S80 V8

I have installed the OBD II bluetooth adaptor and the torque application in my android phone...
Now I can read the coolant temperature.

What is the normal running temperature for Volvo S80 /V8/ 4.4 ?

Normally in the Japanese Cars , the normal coolant temperature will be around 90 centigrade . But in Volvo, I think this is set around 95 to 98 centigrade ( Anybody can confirm this from the Volvo repair manual ?)
After reaching that peak point only, I can see the the temp. coming back again to 97..96..

So I think, the thermostat is set for this temp. which may be the ideal operating temperature for this engine..?
Any comments on this ..
