Thought I d share this with you all. The easiest way to remove the shocks is the following:
1. raise car and put stands under steel brackets just in front of rear wheels. Leave Jack under there to as a back up in case.
2. Remove wheels.
3. At the top of the shock is two 10mm bolts. remove these.
4. At bottom of shock is a bolt that holds shock to sub-frame. Its is 15mm. Remove this.
5. remove the shock through top of wheel arch.
6. replacement is reverse of process.

Just replaced some shocks on my cousin's 07 C70. Pretty simply process. Took longer to jack up the car and line up the jack stands than to actually replace the shocks! Three bolts on each side. Bolts that attach the mount to the frame of the car have been redesigned. They screw up into the frame unlike the P80s that screw down and leave threads exposed to the elements!
There was no rebound in these shocks at 130K.

I followed the procedures in this father-son video on Youtube.

Three bolts that popped off pretty easily: one 15mm on the shock to knuckle bolt and two 10mm shock mount to body bolts. Make sure to put on loctite when replacing bolts.
