Pvc system cleaning question

I have a 2001 v70 awd xc, I had my car in for the etm software upgrade and while it was at the dealer they said I had high pressure in the pvc system. I am assuming I need to clean out the hoses,etc. I know in my 1995 850 I would clean out the flame trap and hoses and also the oil seperator under the intake manifold.
I am wondering what is different in my 2001 v70 and what I need to check for. In my owners manual there is mention of a nipple going into the intake manifold and cleaning that and a hose going into the air filter.

Also when I changed my oil the other day I noticed a box(approx. 4"x6") mounted to the right of my oil drain plug into the oil pan with two hoses going into it and was wondering what this is.

Sounds like that may be your oil separator. Haven't really looked up to see on our '04 V70 but I assume it's the same. I also understand that on the P2 70 series Volvo's the PcV system cleaning is much much easier than the older 850's....so that's a good thing. It is possible that it can be reached from below and you don't have to take the intake manifold off but I could be wrong.
