It only came with VIDA, not the electrical data that I'm aware?

I'm running the 2013A version in a Virtual Machine. The VM is a clean install of Windows 7 Ultimate, no updates, IE9. I threw VIDA on it and it attaches DiCE just fine from the host OS.

Came out to 20GB total, but only 9GB compressed. I found it easier to do it that way than to keep an extra computer around (which I have) just for VIDA duties. Plus it's portable. One computer dies, and I can just copy the VM to another one.
When you connect the dice to the obd2 port, what are your LEDs doing? I have a red one at the bottom that is constantly blinking red. It's supposed to be interface to the car, and from the documentation I've read, it should blink when talking to a part of the car. I'm wondering if I have a bad unit, since mine blinks the whole time it's plugged in, regardless of whether the dice is plugged into the computer or whatever - just blinking.

Ok, update from my end. I installed XP Mode on my Win7 Ultimate installation, and then reinstalled Vida on that, and it works magnificently! It takes longer for the virtual machine to get going, but it works no problem.

And, to confirm, the DiCE is viewable so long as it's powered, whether it's attached to the OBD2 port or not.

Does anyone know if it is able to access the security system so I can turn it off and install an after market one that won't give up on me in the middle of no where?

That will involve a software download to do that. Unlicensed copies don't have that ability.

I have IBM ThinkPad (2005 LENOVO) running Windows XP, File System FAT 32, Memory 768MB, Free Disk Space 20G, and IE 6. It is Intel Centrino with Mobile Technology.

I read that many here - Regent and Ozark for sure - running VIDA DICE 2010 and 2011 variants on Windows XP.

I will use this ThinkPad for VIDA DiCE only.

What next, upgrade memory to 2GB, download and install IE-8?
Which VIDA DICE version to order - from where/who?

OEMscan on AliExpress, search for that and Yolanda. Based on XP, I would advise against DiCE Pro, just the regular one.

That's the place I got mine from. I've been pleased with their customer support contact as well.
