Here's a picture of the fresh air pipe itself, you can see two available nipples on the airbox end of the pipe. http://www.eeuroparts.com/Parts/7896/Ai ... z2yd55ZFJv
I'll snap a picture of the one in my car tomorrow.

The red hose (#20) I believe connects to the boost gauge on the instrument cluster. I'm not sure of the exact routing; I haven't gotten to that part of my project. When I take a picture of that fresh air pipe I'll try to see how that hose is routed in my car.

I don't think bracket #23 is important and, in any case, I have no idea what its for.

IAC stands for Idle Air Control. The MVS Volvo Glossary might help with some of the more common jargon we throw around here at MVS. :) -> https://www.matthewsvolvosite.com/volvo- ... s-glossary

Found it! Not exactly in the position pictured, but close, under the curve so I was missing it.
To be straight about the hoses, on the diagram you provided, the green hose (#17) connects to the compressor (#1); the yellow hose (#19) connects to the waste gate; the red hose (#20) connects to the bypass valve. Is that correct? I found an analogous diagram for the 95 model year that specifies that the other end of the red hose (#20) should connect to the intake manifold. This corroborates with the hard-to-read diagram on the inside of my hood, and the fact that I took off a long piece of rotting tubing that looks as if it would have reached that far if it was still in one piece. And behold! There is a nipple there of the right diameter! I think we've got it!
