1998 S70. Tire size question
I was wondering if I can swap out my 195 60 15 tires with 195 65 15 tires? Wondering if they'll rub. not concerned about speedometer issues. Thanks!

Tires 101:
P = Passenger Tire
195 = Width...in this case 195 mm wide
65 = aspect ratio....In other words, the sidewall is 65% of 195
15 = Obviously size of the rim
Your tire will be a bit taller than the original spec and may give you more cushion on bumps, but will reduce your agility. I went the opposite way with my 850. I have P205/55R15s. They are a little wider and about the same height as the O/E specs.
Good Luck

That's about a 3.2% oversize (e.g. http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/tireca ... -195-65r15) and they may rub on the liners, but not on the fender itself. I have run bigger snow tires than that (215-55-16 or 4.3% oversize) on an 850 and they rub on the liners at full lock, but not on the fenders. The amount of rub was not an issue - it will be fine.

Have a set of 2003 V70 rims with 195/65/15 on my 98 S70 T5. The OE tires were 205/55/16. There was a slight rubbing on the fender liner but after dialing the TOE to approx. 0 and tightening up the liner have not had a problem going on 2 years.
Blessings,
BKM
