1995 855 Wheel alignment issues (still chewing up tires)

Car in question is a '95 850 Turbo 5 speed, D2 coilovers, with 215/45-17s on it. All suspension components are new. Has anyone played around with wheel alignment specs that differ from the dealer specs? I drove my car for a year and a half on IPD springs with eyeballed alignment and it hardly wore the tires. After I installed my coilovers, I had a dealer alignment done, to perfect specs, and its shredding the outside edge of the front tires. It seems like 0 degrees of camber in the front is part of the issue. Any insight would be greatly appreciated, I'm sick of trashing tires.

With stiffer suspension and O Camber you should get inner edge wear. Outer edge has to do with Positive Toe or Toe In.

The tires are either Toe In, rubbing against the fender or from very aggressive cornering?

Go - 1.0 degree on front camber on both sides instead of 0 degree.

A good friend of mine is a tech at Volvo of Tacoma, so there was no explanation, he aligned it to specs and sent me on my way. It drives great, just eats the outside edge of the tires. I was thinking of going 1-1.5 degrees of negative camber on the front to see if that eliminates the problem. I've had a few 850s, stock and lowered and all of them ate tires when set to factory specs, my friend said the same thing.

Alldata says the alignment specs for the front are -1 to 1 degree of camber with 0 being optimal and 1/3" of toe in. Maybe I'll try reducing the toe a little bit and add some negative camber and see if that fixes it. Good thing my alignments are free.

Suspension modifications were simply because no lowering springs go low enough for me. It sits on the tires now and looks great. Purpose of the car it to annoy Mustang, Camero, and lowered Civic drivers. It has an 18T turbo, N/A cams, N/A throttle body, ported head, ported intake, ported exhaust manifold, ported exhaust housing on the turbo, IPD intake spacer, 3" exhaust from the turbo back, ARD Blue Tune and I'm sure some other stuff I'm forgetting. Oh, and the manual swap. Thanks for the help,

Sounds like a fun car Chris.
Good luck with the tire issue. I would imagine while operating at the lowered position it automatically affects the camber.

Edit: Give this a try Chris. I've seen these available on some performance sites. They adjust camber from the top strut mounting point for lowered/Racing vehicles.

All I need is a roll cage now.

I've got those same coilovers with the camber plates. My camber is very adjustable, just need to figure out where to set it.
