08 S60 Oil pan chemical gasket

I've got the tube and getting ready to put the pan back up. Any tips or things to avoid?

Ive got both surfaces about as clean as they're going to get. How thick should I out the pink goo on?

As always, thanks for any help.

Paint it on with a trim roller. It goes on like a coat of wall paint and a line will ooze out when bolts tightened. Snug the bolts holding pan to trans bell housing then tighten all the pan bolts and then tighten trans bolts.

you should research the appropriate tightening torque and use a torque wrench. I know the tightening torque is different for the bolt to the transmission versus the bolt to the bloc.
