2000 S70 Shaking front end

Front end shakes terribly between 50-65/70. smooths out past 70 & rides great.. have replaced tire rod ends, shocks, struts,brake pads, rotors, 3 Engine mounts & had a Volvo 4 Wheel alignment done. Tires are good... "Driving me crazy"............

How many miles are on it and how many miles are on the lower control arms/ball joints?

215K.. unsure of mileage on l/control arm/ball joints. Owned for 4 years Great condition, 1 Owner Haven't replaced 2 items mentioned.

On good roads you might get 150k miles out of OEM ball joints and control arms (they come as a unit) but bad replacements can last as little as 20k

Try moving wheels around, front to back.

You can also jack wheel up and check for play at 12 and 6 o'clock for ball joint wear

Google Hunter Road Force balance and see if you can find a local shop. That will help id a bad bead in the tire or a slight bent wheel.

My 04 s60 2.5t is doing the exact same thing some days the vibration shaking is much worse than other days. I was reading that the CV shaft might be to blame. I don't want to have to replace all the stuff you did before finding out the problem only because I'm trading the car in or selling it so I can. Get me an s60r of the same year.

I replaced the R/L lower control arms & the right axel, which was bad. Rides/Floats like new. Thanks so much.
