1995 volvo 850 windshield wiper nut

The nut that holds the drivers side windhsield wiper arm comes loose when I use the wipers frequently. Can I put some loctitie on that nut so it won't come loose so quickly. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Is the nut coming loose or the wiper arm coming loose? You can put a small piece of aluminum foil over the spoke the wiper arm mounts into to increase the friction, but still provide a break away point for the wiper arm.

I think its the nut, since that is what I have to tighten. I will try a little piece of foil to see if that helps...thank you so much

I have had the same problem on our 94 850. I used Locktite to secure nut.
