Been chasing the elusive P1132 cause.
Started a few months ago along with another code....think it was P1040 (downstream o2 sensor). No other codes besides P1132 at this point.
I did have an exhaust leak between the manifold and turbo. That has now been fixed. Cleared codes and thought that would fix the P1132 but no go.
We checked for vacuum leaks visually and with carb cleaner. None that we can find using those tow methods. Only exhaust leak we could pinpoint was the manifold/turbo which nuts were loose. We snugged them and it quieted right down.
I did notice this time that it took a while to throw the code. Maybe 125 miles or so this time. I have no proof, but can reset and drive with scanner attached for a while if that helps narrow the problem down. If it were an o2 sensor would it not throw the code as soon as evap system was ready?
A search on here and a few other forums are all over the board with fixes. 02 sensor, ambient temp sensors under front bumper, vacuum leak, etc.
What is the logical next step? I am thinking getting a voltage reading on upstream o2 sensor?
Is there a way to test 02 sensor voltage at the computer or a harness somewhere. Just trying to avoid pulling them as the one is a real pain to get to. Or probing them while on the car.
Or is it time to run to the dealer and bite the bullet and let them diagnose with their equipment?
Car has 134K. Not sure if O2 sensors have been replaced in the past. PCV system is all original.
Thank you in advance for your help.

Phil, thank you for the reply and the link
I grabbed a different scanner that gives me some additional info. I cleared the code again and drove it home (13 miles). Took a couple screen shots of it at idle before shutting it off. Only strange thing I noticed is 02 sensor went to 0.00% when I let off the gas and coasted (several curves on my road). Other than that I think things look normal. Not sure how to check both 02 sensors individually on this scanner as it only reads "1/2" as you can see.
Attached two pics as I had to scroll down to get last couple items.
Anything look out of whack? Would it help if I had cold readings for 02 sensor right at start up?
Thank you in advance for your help.

Replaced both O2 sensors with Bosch sensors. Checked exhaust for leaks. Did snug the bolts on turbo to downpipe. They were loose.
Have sprayed carb cleaner to try and find any vacuum leaks. Visually inspected hoses and lines and do not see any cracks. No doubt I could have missed something that is tucked away.
I have not pulled the power steering pump to see if that line is cracked but it looks fine.
Any advice on a next step to eliminate P1132 code.

I jumped the gun. New code is P1332 . First time I have ever seen this. I put the flexible wire sleeve on all the plug wires and the cvvt wires when I did the O2 sensor the other day. Assumed it was the P1132 code I have been chasing. Dad was right once again.... know what happens when we assume. Thinking maybe I worked the plug loose. Reset code this morning and will drive it and see if it returns.
Even with new code, this is progress.
Pulled the plug bent terminals a bit to make sure they are making contact and made sure connection was tight.

P1332 is a camshaft code for CVVT isn't it? Very different thing to chase.

Yes p1332 is the cvvt, got one ordered this morning. My P1132 has not come back yet since changing the rear O2 sensor.
In running down the P1132 code I replaced the front (upstream) O2 sensor first. Drove it and CEL came back on in about 50 miles. Then changed the rear (downstream) O2 sensor, have put 100 or so miles on it and code has not returned.
Now I have the P1332 code. Came on withing 25 miles of changing the second (rear) sensor. Any link between the P1132 and P1332 issue? Or just coincidence?

The only link between the two is dyslexia...

Thanks abscate.
Just seems strange that as soon as the P1132 disappears, the P1332 shows. If so wanted it documented here for others as I could find nothing.
