2000 Volvo s80 2.9 won't shift into park

Hello,

My Volvo with AT recently started making an extra click sound when putting it into PARK. Now for some reason it will not shift all of the way into park. It looks and feels like it goes all the way into park, but the light stays on Reverse and I have to put the e-brake on just to stop and "park" it to turn off the car. I see many posts for car stuck in park but not the other way around. Any help is greatly appreciated.

You might need to change the whole gear shit equipment, don't know what its exact name, but I changed my XC90 with similar problem...and got the working part from junk yard for about 100 bucks.
