Try unplugging the MAF before you tow it.

Do you have OBD trouble codes?

codes are for O2 sensor, PO301-305 misfire, P0410 and PO135, I will try MAf sensor, it did check good with the back probing with a DVOM, I will try starting with it disconnected. One note** I did get a Maf sensor code when I disconnected it the last time.

Thanks Tri

She's now sputtering now after excessive cranking. Sputtering with MAF hooked up and with it disconnected. The weird thing is that my cooling fan came on after I tried cranking it. It's 27 degrees here today. Could this be related? Is the cooling fan relay connected someway to the ignition? Either way the ecu is getting a wrong signal.

Sounds like a bad Engine Coolant Temperature sensor. The fan relay is controlled by the ECU and the ECT sensor is an input to the ECU. The ECU bases a lot of its fuel mixture decisions based on engine temperature as well.

The ranges I can find for the sensor go from 7300 Ohms at 32

Could also be something as simple as; the fan runs when the AC is running and the AC runs when the defroster on.

This fan thing was happening prior to me having this no start problem, with no AC or defroster on. After traving on the freeway with temperature at 30 degrees or less the fan came on while I parked in the driveway. During all this troubleshooting I replaces my ECT sensor from another Volvo 850. (Could this be an issue, used part?) When I removed the thermostat housing I pulled my thermostat out and it was broken in half. The spring had snapped the bracket off, go figure.

Well Guys I'm starting to think head gasket, I do not have any antifreeze in the oil or oil in the radiator, this could explain the low compression and the stall. What do you all think?
Thanks again
Tri.

Do anyone know where I can find the letter and number listings on the ECU(ECM) connector? For example A21. Do I have to remove the connection at the bottom of the ECU box. How do a person check or access these pins? Because:

I have battery voltage on terminal 2 on my camshaft sensor conector terminal. The 850 manual states "if voltage on terminal 2 of the camshaft connector is more than 5 volts check wiring between terminal 2 of the camshaft sensor and terminal A2 of the ECM connector for short circuit to voltage". I'm showing 11.76 volts. Where can I find the A2 terminal on the ECU? Is it listed on the connector inside the ECU box?
Thanks in advance
Tri
