Anyone here from Littleton NH (or Middlebury VT)

Hi,

I am interested in a pre-owned Volvo but I am in the middle of the country and the car is in Littleton NH, which is about 1200 miles from my house!
I wonder if anyone around that area can look at it for me?
I will pay you for your time/effort.

I just want to mention that if your willing to go 1200 miles you might want to look at southern vehicles that have not been exposed to the salt used in our NH winters. I have two northern 850's and a southern S70 that has never been exposed to the salt baths. The undercarriage of the S70 looks brand new compared to the 850's. Do you deal with salt treated roads in your area?

Driving down and up the Great Plaines, one would find a dozen Volvos with no salt and snow.
But parked outside under open skies, harsh Sun may show dried and deteriorating interior.
Those kept in garage, and escaped JRL, would find cn90 a delightful patron.

i paid for a "Carchex" inspection of a V70 T5M near detroit. it was okay. they missed the things an informed volvo buyer would check, but the contents of the report made it obvious that the car had been poorly kept, and i was happy rejecting the car on that basis.

i'd be wary about purchasing a car sight unseen based on such a report, but i felt confident in declining to pursue it further. i can forward you a .pdf of the report, if you want to get an idea what the inspection is like. it cost about $100, as i recall.

Never mind, I picked up a 2005 XC90 today from a local dealer.
I agree that long-distance purchase is risky.
