Got in to drive my car this afternoon only to find that there was no coolant in her (light on dash, empty tank). Dumped in about a half gallon of coolant mix only to hear it hitting the ground as fast as I dumped. Leaking from lower/backside of engine compartment.
Car up on stands now and I can see the culprit from below but I'm not sure which hose this is. Photo is from below looking up. One of the lower heater core related lines? Looks like a real bugger to get at.
Thanks for any tips on which line I'm looking at. Cheers!

That is a turbo coolant line, see this post for a great overview but the replacement is a bit trickier on an AWD vehicle:

Thanks, that's a huge help! And isn't everything a bit (or more) trickier on the AWD's?!?!erikv11 wrote:That is a turbo coolant line, see this post for a great overview but the replacement is a bit trickier on an AWD vehicle
Thanks again for your help!
The only thing that'll get in your way is the angle gear but you won't be working near that, so you should be fine. I did not watch the videos that were put up but I'm assuming we are all talking about the turbo coolant line is immediately located near the top left rear of the engine. Also check your other radiator hoses while you're at it and make sure they are nice and firm (no obvious soft spots).atomicpop wrote:Thanks, that's a huge help! Alas, he should be so lucky ...Vlvspd wrote: ... I'm assuming we are all talking about the turbo coolant line is immediately located near the top left rear of the engine. ...
No, we are talking about the line down underneath the turbo, the one in the very first pic in the thread. But both should be replaced at the same time.
