Hello all. I just bought my first Volvo, a 1991 240. It was cheap, and the car seems to need every single one of the typical 240 issues to be addressed. I fixed the check engine light, SRS light, and put 2 new front tires on the front with an alignment, and got an oil change. Soon I will replace the power steering fluid and brake fluid. In a week or 2 I will start looking to get the motor mounts replaced. I should probably fix the speedo too.
Anyway, I cant find my flame trap. I thought on my 1991 that it was after they started putting it above the intake manifold so it is easily accessible. If it is indeed under the intake, what can I do to make this easier on me? Id rather remove as much stuff from out of the way as possible than trying to squeeze my hands into tight extremely sludgy spaces. I was thinking maybe removing the throttle body would make this easier.
I guess before we discuss that though Id like to confirm the location. I will try to upload a few images of the top of the engine, maybe someone can recognize my flame-trap.
Thanks in advance

So i really want to pay a shop to clean my engine. Doesnt have to be perfect it just needs to be cleaned. Anything I should tell them to look out for as far as electrics/easily loosened vacuum lines etc? Sorry to drift OT.
