Hey, on the top of my exhaust downpipe leaving the turbo is a silver tube leading to a valve and then has a hose going to the front right of the car to what I assume is the emissions air pump? What is the part coming off the downpipe called? Is it vital, or can I plug the bung on the downpipe and plug the airpump hose?
I'm trying to remove the exhaust, and I can't get this detached from the down pipe because of rust, I think I'm going to have to break it off to get the exhaust out. I can't find where to buy a replacement, but I'd rather not anyways, I'd rather bypass it and be on my marry way.
Thanks

SAS/air pump check valve.
You could plug it, but you'll need to do the SAS delete.

Tried soaking it a few times with PB Blaster?
Might be easier to get off if it's warmed up a little bit too.
