99 S80 T6 will not crank and injectors aren't working
I recently bought a 99 s80 and I'm having one heck of a time figuring this thing out... when I turn the key, the starter will not crank, if I jump across the starter it cranks over fine but will not start, if I spray a little bit of ether in the intake and jump across the starter it'll start for a second and die. There is plenty of fuel pressure up until the fuel rail, the injectors don't seem to be working. The dash lights, seats, windows all work but the stereo doesn't seem to.. the digital read out on the dash doesn't say anything is wrong, I ran a diagnostic scanner and go no codes. Any input would be much appreciated!

Did you use DICE/VIDA or a generic OBDII reader?
If generic, there might be codes set that it cannot read.
AFAIK, the injectors are grounded by the ECU and a fuse on the other side. Have you checked with a diode kit or a scope to see if the injectors are indeed not firing? If they aren't, the ECU might be the issue, or there might be an issue with the immobilizer system. The key is read, and confirmed or denied by the CEM. The CEM has to see the right code or it won't turn on the fuel pump. This could be from corrupted CEM data (see failing CEM) or a failing key ring immobilizer (the ring that goes around the ignition cylinder to pickup the code from the key).
The CEM and ECU also communicate immobilizer codes between each other to make sure neither have been tampered with. If the codes match, startup is allowed. If not, start isn't allowed. That could be corrupted CEM or ECU data.
Without better access to the computer system, diagnosing further might be a waste of time as it may be a software issue or failing module.

I did only use a generic obdII scanner, if I try the other style scanner would it pick up on the problems you were discussing above? I have also came across bypassing systems for immobilizers online, would one of those be worth my time if it comes down to my issue being related to immobilizer communicating with my cem? I juat wasn't sure if they are anything good or if someone just wanted to make a couple bucks.
