Hmmm...the incredibly rare V8 S70...I've heard of these but never seen one....


I think your reader software is either FUBAR or mapped to a 1961 Austin HEALEY Sprite

Your first code 1171 is long term fuel trim, and the second I think is CVVT function.

Google "Pxxx Volvo" to confirm...often you get led to a thread here. :D

And there's the fix for that. Sometimes the solenoid is just sludged up.

Yupp thanks guys. I changed it on the white one. Bought a couple from the junk yard but they were all crap. Went to the dealer and paid $$$ but it worked.

Updated my code reader with new software and DTC library but I still get these weird descriptions of the code. The reader is a CEN-TECH 60694 and as far as I know it is just a rebranded AUTEL AL519.
Does anyone else here use this reader and does it work for you?
