Anybody got a point of view on these?

Post by PerryRT »

I'm looking at this set of trim pieces from iPd and they seem like a pretty decent idea, if they do what they say they do - I've noticed a lot of "overspray" on my side windows already (and I've only had this 850 a couple of weeks.)

$50, though. That's a lot of cheeseburgers for two pieces of plastic. :?

Could I request a review from anyone whose used these - are they useful? Or useless?

I'm living in Orlando, so we don't get Seattle-style rain, but it does happen from time to time.
Regards -

I agree, a lot of rain gets in our cars (if window is open slightly, which I do since I smoke)...especially if you turn from a stop if the top of the car gets a lot of water on it. I've considered getting these, but can't find them for an S70...just 850's.

I boughta pair for my car. I have yet to install them though. The trim that they go under is pealing really badly and I need to repaint it. When I remove the trim I will wash the window and install the rain diverters. I will keep you posted on how they work. These are genuine aftermarket Volvo parts.

The late model S/V70 has them built in so to speak. The trim is about a 1/4 inch deeper in the A pillars. I do think that they will work on a 98 and 99 S/V70. The windscreen looks the same as the 850. As does the window trim.
I am a current Volvo 850T5 owner. Have had '67 144ES, 71 142E, 76 245DL, 80 242GT, 81 245DL. Still wish that I had the 142E. :(

I scored an '06 Harley Dyna Superglide for Fathers day.
