Instead of guessing program numbers when buying used BCMs you can bring Vida along to wrecking yard and read the software numbers in the Network menu before purchasing if the yard will co-operate a little.

Also Henry (doublebug) can help in his own special ways if you absolutely can't find the same program software numbers.

Yea that would have been a lot easier....doublebug did give me a few clues which helped me a lot. I got stuck with a 4wd unit on my 2wd which he spotted straight away from the software numbers I posted....of course I was working totally blind at that point as I didn't even know it was possible to swap the units. I was trying to (cough) err "reset" one of the second hand units so the download would be accepted but I gave up on that approach when my swap worked....I've now totally hijacked this post - sorry doxster22 I'll stop now!
