Absolutely great invention. No one likes a garage remote rolling around on the dashboard.

Drilled access holes into the valve body cover. Planning to replace the solenoids and put the cover on this weekend.

Did the new solenoids this afternoon and jacked up the car. Also got some plugs for the valve body cover. After that my energy ran out.

CASE CLOSED!
Put the new solenoids in last night and the car started shifting perfectly. Didn't have to adjust anything :)

Great to hear you solved it and can move on; must be a big relief.

Just to recap did you use new bushings in the "new" solenoids or did you just ream the old bushings out?

I skipped new bushings this time, just opened up the solenoids and cleaned them.

Time came for the first fluid change. I was planning on doing it every 50K but I had nothing better to do this morning so first change was done after 35K.

Oil looked a bit dark but not pitch black, didn't smell burnt either. Little bit of crud on the magnet.

Did another drain n fill today. Oil that came out looked almost red so I think I'll stop there. 6.2L replaced in total.
