I've been meaning to ask. On turning off my car, it's typical to see the battery light (okay, technically it's the "generator not charging" light) illuminate for about 1 to 2 seconds as the engine dies. There's no abnormal sounds from the engine compartment and no alternator/battery issues when starting or running, just the light, and only during the shutdown process.
Should I be concerned about this? I'm not thinking that it's a problem, but thought I would ask, as long as y'all were here.
95 850 GLT - Alternator/Battery light normal on shutdown?
My 93 does this too. I imagine its because the rpms die as the engine comes to a stop. Ive never had a problem with the charging system on it.
