Is ETM contactless mod kit still available?
I replaced my ETM with a used XeMODex one. My old one still works well except for the ETS light for position sensor reading problem. If the contactless mod kit is still available somewhere I can mod the old one to make it reusable. Thanks a lot.

The instructions that come from sacer are basic at best. You'll want to read up on the forum before doing it.

I haven't seen a faulty contactless sensor yet. It may pay to look up sensor 1 & 2 on Vida and compare the values or do a sweep test. They will likely be within spec.
I have an ETM that works perfectly with a contactless however just like yours calls up a sensor fault. The sensor fault comes up as a green status sensor 2 fault. This is as rare a fault as you can get. No limp home mode and perfect throttle response. Only problem is an ETS light. I've swapped out the contactless with another one only to get the same problem.
Is XeModex's warranty transferable? There will be a service sticker with some info on the ETM. A call to them may identify the unit.

In my case, the faulty ETM I took out is not contactless sensor and still works for driving. I swap in a XeMODex one, hopefully will not fail again. Now I am thinking to rebuild the faulty one with contactless sensor and it will be useful again for me or other people when need it, instead of junk it.precopster wrote:I haven't seen a faulty contactless sensor yet.
