s40 brake fluid?

s40 brake fluid?

2001 S40- I don't know what grade fluid to use. My manual says "Dot 4+". I never heard of the "+". Can I use regular Dot 4?

Yeah, you can use DOT 4...there's also a synthetic out that you can use that is sold in most auto parts store now- Valvoline SynPower. Personally, I like to do the DOTBLUE and DOTAMBER fluid. This way you know the old is out when you bleed the new fluid through. Use Blue first and then the next time, use the amber....it's here at the bottom of this page: http://www.fcpgroton.com/SV40/sv40brakes.htm
