2001 Volvo s60 Brake module failure.

My volvo's brake module has failed. After lots of reading and research it really seems like a really easy to fix issue. Now, I've read some of these modules are not "plug and play" which sounds like i'll be having software issues once i get the technical work done. Also, does anybody know what STC and DSTC mean in volvo terms?

STC -Stability Traction Control
DSTC - Dynamic Stability Traction Control
