98 v70xc lowering with t5 shocks and springs?

i have a matte black 98 v70xc with nivo mats in the rear, i just bought 18inch alloys but want to lower her 1st for the correct stance im after, i know i can lower the rear using drop bolts but the front is where im stumped. ive heard that the t5 springs are interchangeable but wanted to confirm before ordering, standard t5 springs on ebay for 35 each compared to 125 for lowering springs which i would only use half the springs. many thanks
