1998 V70XC Check Engine light but no code

Hi all,

I am getting a check engine light with no code and clearing it does nothing to get rid of it. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what might be causing it? Car seems to run perfectly fine.

Volvo specific code, need Vida to scan.

VIDA won't really do anything on a '98. It could be a "stuck bit" in the ECU or something in the cluster. I would be inclined to yank a battery cable for a few minutes and see if things clear up. You will need to have your radio code before you pull the battery though.

Thanks ozark, I did not end up having to yank the battery, light was gone when I turned on the car this morning.
