engine surging
Replaced etm with rebuilt from bba in mass..also did oiltrap a week later, now car is reving between 1500-2200 and wont stop till shut off. Could this be maf sensor?

Have you done basic tests for ETM power at connector?

No..not sure how to do that. Dealer installed etm 2 weeks ago, they got me nervous mentioning oil trap. So i did it figuring it was an easy diy cleaning, after putting it back together is when i experienced throttle issues. And idle issues. Gonna check again today to make sure i didnt leave something unhooked. If the idle air control valve is left off will vehicle run..and possibly cause these issues?

Large green wire at lower left of connector going to ETM is +12V , right next to it is ground (large brown wire)
Does ETM click on when ignition switch is at PosII and then click off in around 8 seconds?
Have you scanned the car for codes?

It does click on and off..no codes showing..and reader says no codes found. There is a service light that comes on at startup..then goes off after a few minutes. I have disconnected battery a few times while working on it..and this issue arrose after doing oil trap, before that, it ran fine after etm install and software update.
