1996 850 Key Fob Question

I recently purchased a '96 850 that did not come with a key fob. Did all models come with a remote lock/unlock function? If not, how would I determine if it did? Thanks in advance.

Actually my son's '96 didn't have the receiver. It was as base as they came with no options whatsoever. I did put a pick-n-pull receiver in and it worked just fine since all the wiring was there.

I didn't know that. Thanks for the info. Reckon I have the receiver too then. If you have a red LED (part #4) in the middle of the dashboard, you have remote locks. If it's a flat rectangle (part #14), you don't

Ahhh. Mine's a base. Looks like it can be converted easily? Not that it's hugely important, but it would be nice.

Definite PnP for the parts. From Volvo, your crown teeth would be cheaper..
