Newbie here. Car drives without problems, but I noticed a broken vacuum hose attachment, as referenced in the attached pic(s). What is this part called? Do I need to replace the entire part or can it be repaired with epoxy or something? Thanks.

That's your air intake hose. The vacuum line fitting doesn't have its own name, it's just part of that hose.
Take the hose out of the car, and drill the broken piece out. Then, go to a kitchen supply store or a specialty hose store and find a nice plastic fitting that'll work with the vacuum hose - put that in there, glue it down, and you should be all set.
Or get a used air intake hose from a scrapyard. Probably easier.

The air intake hose has been consolidated into a single part for 850s and V/S70 up to '98, so I don't know the part number for the air intake anymore. The P/N that both you and I have has been discontinued.
If you buy a new one, you'll end up with an air intake hose w/ 2 extra vacuum hose nipples that you'll have to block, so your easiest solution is actually to get a used one, or fix the one you have.
This is the one you'll get if you buy a new one: http://www.ipdusa.com/products/7159/114 ... 70-s70-v70
One hose connection up top will have to be blocked, and the one beside the PTC on the other end.

Thanks for the quick reply. I found the part number: 9135038, 9135038, 9161380. Is there a video or tutorial on how to make a repair like the one you are talking about?

I've never heard of anyone doing it, but this is just plastic and air, so there's not much to it. Drill out the broken bit of plastic, fit a new connection, put hose on.
As long as you're not leaking air there, it shouldn't be a problem.

I love those things. Looks awesome. But it's need vs want, and in this case, I don't think I really need it.Flystagg wrote:Or time for an upgraded Snabb intake!

Well I tried to salvage the original nipple by putting epoxy around it. Seems to be working for now. Thanks.
