1995 960 Location of turn signal flasher
The turn signals both left and right are flashing twice as fast as they should. The hazard lights are flashing at normal speed. I am hoping that if I change the turn flasher it will correct the problem, however I not sure where to look for the flasher. I have been reading other posts but I am still confused.

The flasher is in the hazard switch but I doubt that is it. Turn on hazard switch and look closely when it is dark to see if they are really as bright a they should. Bulb socket problems can cause this and do it at the same time.

In my 740, the flasher problems went away when I replaced the bulbs. Look for worn out contacts, or move bulbs from one side to another before replacing controls in the cabin.

The turn signals slow down when the car is at idle and then speed up again when the gas pedal is pushed. More

Idle speed looks to be around 800 rpm estimate could be 750. Another thing happen on the way home today the low beam headlight burned out. I went to replace the bulb and found the the bulb holder was melted between the contacts. I replaced the bulb holder.
What should I check for on the charging system?
I can handle looking for cracks and breakage on the belt.

Your alternator may be overcharging. Your wipers are maybe also running too fast? Do you have access to a multimeter?techedbob wrote:Idle speed looks to be around 800 rpm estimate could be 750. 17.7 volts? Anything more than 14-15 is too much. The alternator's voltage regulator is bad. I foresee a new battery in your future (as well as replacing the alternator).techedbob wrote:yes, I have a multimeter will check the wipers.
wipers do not seem to be moving faster then normal, even when you push on the gas.
Belt does not have any flaws.
alt is charging at 17.7 volts
