1999 S70 NA PCV system fix caused misfire

Ok, finally fixed and it was the stupidest - yet cheapest - thing ever ... the coil wires were hooked to the wrong cylinders. Thank you all for your help regardless.

Way to go. Label them with some white tape so the next time this doesn't happen.

You allready had been pointed into that direction:

Yup, I was. I didn't even consider that "order" meant specific wires tied to specific cylinders, but now I won't forget. Timing belt or suspension work will be my next projects. Thanks!

Remember an ME7 doesn't have cap rotor and wires - just plugs that attach to coil-on-plugs

I bet someone has tinkered with the wiring looms as on my 1999 you can't get the plugs into the wrong coils without really straining them.

I kinda see what you mean, abscate, but if I remember correctly, it's possible to mess it up if you route the cables wrong between the coils. 3 & 4, for example.

Anyway, it's good that the battery mishap didn't screw anything up, kyalami.

And whenever the solution is the cheapest one, then that counts as a good day.
