Does anyone recognize this tube.
My original kind of crumbled when I was pulling my ABS module.
I replaced it with an 18 flexible aluminum which is what the Auto prats guy in my town matched it up with.
However 18 is its maximum stretched length and when stretched out it is even more flimsy that the original one. I think I should have got the 24 or 32 inch length which would have been around 12-16 inches to start with...
This has to be the weakest thing inside the engine compartment.
It also doesn't have house clamps on either side -- engine or air cleaner side.
There must be a better tube or even an upgrade to this approximate 2 inch by 16-17 inch long span.
Thanks...
Flimsy air preheater hose.

It's brings preheated air to the air cleaner for those winter months. It plugs into a box around the exhaust manifold on the right side of the engine ( near firewall)
It is not part of the cat system, despite the feline interest.
Be careful with pussy in the garage if you have a coolant leak. About 5 ml is fatal and the sweet taste attracts them. I left a bucket of coolant outside once and had three dead squirrels in one evening.
