2005 V70 Oil change and capacity

Just did my second oil an filter change on the P2

Manual says 5.5 liters oil capacity.

I added 5liters, no dipstick reading.
Added another liter, just barely on dipstick. Started idled for 5 minutes, rest for 10 minutes
Same dipstick reading
Added 1 more liter, reads top of dipstick
Start, idle, rest - same reading.

So 7 liters added total to fill, not 5.5 liters?

Hmmmm

Car is level.

This car just delivered scholar number one to college with 600 pounds of stuff, 4 people, at the requisite NJ speeds of 75-80 at 30 mpg.

I put 6qt into both B5254T2 and B5244S.

My 06 V702.5T owners manual indicates 5.5 liters with 1.2 liters between top and bottom dipstick.
