1999 S70 ETM. I need some clarification on how to check voltage of existing TPS before I changeout to the new Sacer TPS. As I understand it, I measure voltage across pins 1 and 3. Here are my questions:
1. Does ETM unit have to be connected to the car while I measure voltages.
2. At what point does the throttle body butterfly flap need to be? Fully closed? Half open? Full Open?
Any help would be appreciated. Thx!

Apply voltage through the thick green (+12V) and thick brown (ground or chassis) OR connect to car's loom with ignition ON.
ETM will perform self test and throttle flap will come to rest at about 16 degrees. Then measure between pins 1 and 3. Make sure the new Sacer sensor has a voltage of between 1.28 and 1.5 volts. This is adjustable via small adjustments to the interface of the shaft versus the magnet. Clockwise increases voltage.
