1995 850 what have i done?

Post by 57gretsch »

While investigating the dtc for a3 142...I found a ground connection that was not attached. Two ground attachments near the brake light switch, to the left. I plugged it back on. There was clicking from under the hood and the courtesy light seemed to get brighter. After that... no start and dtc code for port a3 shows 444 no power to abs. Have I inadvertantly fried a relay somewhere?

Well...the ground wire was for the chime. The no start was the PNP switch ( i must refurbish that.) But...it seems the the ABS control unit is beginning to fail. The first sign was the 142 code. I cannot find any reasonable cause. When the 444 code appeared I checked all fuses and come to the conclusion that it is on its way out.
