A big leak of unmetered air into an ME7 car can cause a no-start. Keep driving it to confirm. I think you nailed it

My starting issue is resolved...but Lee is correct that the PO442 code for the evap leak continues to re-appear and must be a separate issue that needs to be addressed. If I can't find any obvious vacuum leaks I will probably need to go the smoke test route. Is there a good write up for that procedure? I did find a video that outlines how to make a homemade smoke tester... using incense, a paint can, and a propane gas regulator.
