Re: Water Pump Stuck
I took this photo from my other DIY (Timing Belt etc.), you can see the locations of the 2 dowels once the WP is removed.
The dowels are roughly at 12:00 and 7:00 o'clock positions.

I replaced mine after 300+k km about 2 months ago.It finally developed agressive leak from the weep hole followed with fair amount of bearing play after a few years of a slow leak(0.5l per year).Actually the bearing play was the main culprit of the leak.
I also needed to hit it with a pipe and hammer and a bit of wiggling to get it separated from the block.
Once it's removed, the green factory seal needs to be scraped with a razor blade but it isn't easy because of the lack of space and accessibility and because of that, you will need to do some acrobacy aside of the car.
Not difficult job even for a 1st timer, just time consuming because of scrapping the old seal.
3 years ago in the summer when i replaced timing belt,it was fine and after few months it started to leak a little, but like i mentioned before....it was a very slow leak.Around 0.5l of coolant per year so i left it like that untill it got worse.
Replacement water pump i bought is SKF.
