Re: wet floor passenger side not antifreeze
The foam holds an amazing amount of water. Several rotations of dry towels will help a lot, it is too cold on LI right now to be pulling out the seats and carpet.

The weather n LI today is unseasonably warm, about 60 degrees. I used towels, but I also pulled up some of the foam and used an electric heater to blow on it. It's nearly dry, but I'm going to be patient, since the moldy smell would be worse than getting done a bit later. I'll spray with Febreze after it's all dried out

While working on the same problem I found a clogged drain right in front of, and partly obscured by, the fusebox. Water drained freely everywhere else except from there. You may have found that one already. It may or may not have anything to do with water on the passenger side. I found water on both sides inside when I looked closely.

My leak is ongoing and remains undiagnosed. Passenger side. All drains are wide open. There is more water than could come in from door seals and there isn't any dripping from them. So, mysterious. Definitely rain related. My cabin air filter was soaked if that's a clue, suggesting water is running over the plastic housing and getting in that way. I can stand there and pour water under the rain tray from a hose and it runs out freely through the drains. The vent in the rain tray is pretty close to the top of the air filter, I wonder if it's not a bad design. Anyway, no solution for me yet. BTW, I see this is an old thread.

A longshot but are you sure the cabin filter housing is seated and sealing properly? Apparently the aftermarket ones can leak, for the record http://volvospeed.com/vs_forum/topic/17 ... 0x70-cars/

Rguzz, if the cabin filter is wet have you had the windshield replaced recently. I have over 12 years experience in auto glass and most glass guys don't remove the cowl when replacing these windows. If it's original or started somewhat recently then it's likely the plastic strip along the bottom of the glass. Those are great at catching a lot of debris and allowing water between the widow and that trim and can drop in through the cabin filter. If you pop that trim piece off after the cowl is off you can clean it out to put it back on. You can use a tiny amount of temporary sealant when you put it back on, just please make sure it's something that can be removed as these are always reused if you have the window replaced.rguzz wrote:My leak is ongoing and remains undiagnosed. Hope this helps. Josh

Thanks. Windshield was replaced 2-3 mos ago but leaking was problematic before then. Nevertheless, I will do as you suggest and see if that helps things out some. The amount of water I see is a lot after a heavy rain, enough almost to bail out with a scoop! Am I sure what piece you refer to, or is it so obvious I can't mistake it for anything else? By cowl you mean weather tray, no?
