Every time my customers drive, not even that far, my customers stop and check my engine, and the engine oil tank is hot. My customers open the engine oil cap and so much hot steam/smoke/oil bursts out. My customers know you're not supposed to open if after you drive right away, but my customers don't think there should be that much heat and oil pressure after that not even a minute of driving. Oil sputters onto the roof of my customers hood after a few minutes of driving as well. My customers checked the cap and dipstick seals and they seem fine.

Does your customer have an actual issue?

Internal combustion uses most of the gasoline to make heat, with heat comes pressure.

If you charge double for speculation, you find you get fewer requests for the same.

:D :D :D

I think this is a bit tough to define what pressure is normal in this way, but splatting oil around an open crankcase cap is normal, IMHE

Gasket for the oil caps are quick to fail, and likely needs changed if oil is slipping past when closed, however, not likely the causal issue

PCV system likely needs overhaul. Lots of good info in the DIY's on diagnosis and replacement/repair
