I did see the mention of them on a few boards. I will call Colorado Driveshafts tomorrow. Thanks guys.
Still a bunch of oil under the car from the previous issue. The guy at Midas, "not sure where all that oil is from", heh.

A friend with a P2 worked on his car the other day, doing the 5/8's hose. He sent me this photo of the P2s banjo with a check valve built into it.

Quite interesting. I wonder if all turbos had this, but for some reason mine was swapped to a standard banjo. Well anyway, my method still works just fine.
Now onto getting a new prop shaft.

Can anyone verify the P80 turbos have this as well?

The 1999 is different from the other P80s in that the PVC is water warmed. I thought my banjo on my 1999 did not have any valve but was a straight pass through, but I'm not positive.

The driveshaft came in on Tuesday. Going to put it in tomorrow eve. I need to sort it out, as I am taking this car to Virginia next weekend to pick up another car:D
Brake booster gets its vacuum from the intake manifold. Not sure why/what you are asking.
If you are having those issues, your PCV is most likely NOT ok.Chaki wrote:Hello, im having the same problem, my dipstick is also smoking and oil cap hole makes positive pressure and pumps the glove :/

Because, someone said to check brake vacuum. Ok i missunderstood something. Nevermind
My PCV was bad and my mechanic/friend took it off and cleaned all the lines and pcv box with some petrol and alcohol cleaner and it had good flow, lines had great flow after the cleaning, and because of that i THINK its OK. Maybe it really IS clogged :/

Did the mechanic/friend check and clean well the drain port from the box back into the block? That's probably the most important one.Chaki wrote: ... Crankcase pressure could also be worn piston rings but I doubt it.

I believe so, he is really good mechanic and at that time engine was out, engine block was machined, head was machined and checked, new rings put, bearings also etc etc .... He did an overhaul/general reparation of the engine so everything was clean and "new" so he cleaned PCV and pcv lines. Oil change is every 7000kms. It doesnt burn oil at full throttle or at any other time, i mean, i cant see the smoke, turbo is in good condition, but it burns oil after short ride when i stop and idle for a moment. Really PCV Style problem

Actually, that is really a valve stem seal style problem.Chaki wrote:I ... but it burns oil after short ride when i stop and idle for a moment. Really PCV Style problem
Do you know if he replaced the valve stem seals, in the head?
I would ask him both of those questions.
