etm Wiring

Post by nthnnxn »

02 v70 turbo...Doing an engine overhaul and during tear down process broke the ETM connector. Got connector replaced from dealership... I coulda sworn I swapped out the right wire in the right slot in the rebuild process... But at any rate when I start the car its a very rough Idle and I have no power, as in zero...not even limp mode.
Any diagram of that connector showing the wire color and position would be greatly appreciated, as well as any other ideas for my, "zero power" capabilities.

Thanks
Nathan

1982 240DL: Drove it 32 years and 1.5 million miles (sold, even still had mint leather!)
2001 v70 2.4T: The most expensive $1500 car I ever bought ("Volvo Turbo" - what an oxymoron!) (sold)
2004 v70: Far less fatally-flawed v70 - It served well (sold)
2010 v50: Smaller, slightly sportier wagon. Its got a spoiler, so I upgraded with sway bars!

He has a 2002 with an ETA, not the ETM.

Sorry, I could have sworn that he specifically requested the ETM connections and connector layout. :)

But as Jimmy merely criticized, and did not attempt to provide the ETA diagrams, here they are:

Sorry if it you decided it was critical. It was not intended that way.
I guess I should not have commented.

Thanks for all that guys!! I did it right the first time. However upon starting the engine, its a rough idle... Also the Accelerator is responsive, so no more "zero power" issue! Any ideas for possibilities of rough idle, other than the timing being off?

Plugs, coils, compression....and the ubiquitous vacuum leak of course.

Turned out that 2 plug coils were swapped. And Now The car is running AWESOME!! However I am wondering if the top motor mount/crossbar being mounted (vs. Not being mounted) had anything to do with a rough idle upon engine start (When crossbar was not mounted)?
