I like that about the cruise control - it's "on" until you turn it off, even if the car is switched off in between. I use cruise control all the time, and in my Fiesta I always jab the set button a couple of times before realizing that I need to turn the system on after starting the car.

I'm not getting any indicator light. I looked in my owners manual and didn't see any light concerning the cruise. In other news, I got a chance to air the car out. Got it up to 105 mph before I had to back off becsuse of traffic
