Hello, I'm new here and hoping for some direction. Parked my car the other day. Came back to it 15 minutes later and no crank. Good power, typical warnings on from what I've been reading. Immobilized check manual, brake failure stop safely, low beam failure.
Had it towed home. Pulled the CEM and checked for corrosion and loose connections, put the battery charger on, accessed the SCU and antenna ring to look for bad connections. Tightened all visible grounds and checked fuses at all 3 locations. Now I have crank but no start and alarm system service warning on. Please help. I'm out of things to check. Again it now cranks but won't fire. Also does not appear there is fuel pressure at the fuel rail.

Well it won't run without fuel

Check the fuel pump relay by jumping the terminals to see if the pump is running, if you are comfortable with electrics

^^ The fuel gauge is less accurate than a forecast. But given the random messages, I would also suspect weak battery or faulty alternator. When I boost a weak battery at the trunk, I connect both terminals to the running engine. Under the hood, I only connect the red wire, while the black one goes at ground. The immobilizer antenna fails inside the module but I would check first the battery/gas thing.

Thank you for the replies. I found the problem. Seems like it could happen often on other volvos out there so hopefully this will help someone else.
The 12 volt battery supply at the jump location under the hood where that fuse/relay panel is where I found the issue. Underneath there is a metal bracket that is pressed or crimped together from the factory. It came loose most likely due to vibration and time. Drilled a hole through the two brackets and combined them on the main distribution block at a vacant stud with a locking nut. All good!! Now on to the ABS and shift flare issues.
