I know the part is now obsolete from Volvo, but as I saw one on a 2000 V70XC in PnP I decided to pull it as a spare. The only issue I have is the part # stamped on it. Perhaps it is a superseded part # 9141041? According to Vida the part # should have been 9470836 which replaced 9434255. I know Volvo also have a habit of putting the part in a kit and calling the combined kit a different #, so is this the case here as the Vida part # includes the 2 nuts and bolts to fit.
From FCP website part # 9141402 fits a V/C70 FWD as far as I can see. Can anyone help here identify if the one I pulled had perhaps been fitted to the wrong vehicle (AWD)?
While on the subject, has anyone come across a source of polybushes for these torque rods yet? Be good to know for the future or just squirrel a set of bushes away.
Thanks,
Neil.

I'll answer my own question again. Forgot I had a brand new one in a pack in the garage which I found today while trying to progress my parts inventory.
The part # on the new part is: 9141041, but on the packet it is: 9470836.
I thought this might be a 'kit' part number, but although Vida shows the 2 nuts and bolts to mount it are part of the 947 number they are not in the packet. Volvo are weird!
Still looking for any info (if it exists) for poly bushes for this torque rod:

Thanks,
Neil.

Hi Neil,
I believe IPD carries poly bushings for the torque rod. I think they even have 2 different hardnesses (or at least they used to), one set of black for track use and one blue for road use. I think I have a set of the blue ones somewhere but have for many years had the old QBM one which used delrin bushings. 11 years later it still looks good.
EDIT: just looked and IPD doesn't seem to have them anymore...wonder why? I'll look on some Swedish sites for you.
EDIT 2:
It looks like one place in Sweden has pre-installed poly bushings on a new (likely aftermarket mount):
http://vparts.se/se/polyuretan-motorfas ... -xc90.html
Same one here:
http://www.scstyling.com/volvo-reservde ... ndre-volvo
These guys sell the above mount and also the smaller of the two bushings in poly:

Hi Big Will! Not heard from you in a while. Like you I could have sworn that IPD used to sell those bushes. I don't want the whole part, but just the bushes for the end that has the mini version of the upper torque rod bush that splits. I do actually have a brand new part in my stash, but as these are now impossible to find new, I am thinking of pulling any I find at PnP and replacing this bush to pass on.
Thanks again for your help and good to see you are still around.
I will set my brother on the task in Sweden (former Mercedes trained mechanic in Denmark). Appreciate the leads.
Neil.
