Functionally it should be fine, latitude and longitude it will mess with you if you didn't go through metric boot camp at Kalanianaole High. Keep checking eBay, I see them go off identically to yours for well under $100.00 shipped to the 48 so tack on either more time or more money to get it to Hawaii but it shouldn't be that much more.

Okay, so it will work. The other you directed me to on eBay was cheaper but shipping was ridiculous- $30 w/in the 48 so it's probably dbl for me as it sounds as like they're using a private carrier. With that cost, I hope so. But anyway, it wasn't in as good condition as the one I showed. I will keep looking for as long as my very generous mechanic will alllow me to borrow his but would prefer to return it asap in case something else is causing the panel to short.
So Lee, you lived on Oahu? On Ala Wai Blvd? Wow, is that right in Waikiki- did you like it? We moved to Maui 2 yrs ago but I actually grew up on Oahu. Way less traffic but way more expensive here. Can you believe it- I just spent $46 today & only got a half tank of gas for my 850! I think it was around $3.85/gallon for plus. Premium would be closer to $4. But at least my money's burning in motion rather than in traffic. But it's a trade off, the roads are so poorly maintained here, so I presume I'll be spending more $$ on tires, suspension, alignments, etc. soon.
