You are missing the blue turbo pressure dump line - goes back to the air induction hose down at turbo - this means you have a vacuum leak down there too, btw.

Oil smudge on the turbo looks normal - get some green down there and clean it up to see how long it takes to come back

and finally - replace the gasket under your oil filler cap.

Both my fog lights work (when the fuse isn't blown). The driver side headlight washer is broken off, so someone may have disconnected it. My A/C works great.

The air box has been replaced by a cone filter, as well as the air intake hose. Would need more info where to look for this vacuum line connection.

In other news: Got the back end of my car jacked up. Removed both rear tires and rotors. Brake shoes weren't in bad as shape as I thought. Still had friction material but it was cracking and worn smooth. Replaced the passenger side no problem. The driver's side was a different story. The shoes were seized out. Could not get the shoes to release. When I pull the e-brake, I can see the cable tug and there is tension on it. But the cable once it enters the drum will not budge. I need the car tomorrow, so for the time being I removed the shoes and all the hardware. At least now I have one working e-brake.

So, after going through hours of trouble to lengthen my rear O2 sensor, I finally go to plug it in and... it will not plug in to what I believed to be the correct wiring harness. I assumed it was the empty harness next to where the front O2 sensor was plugged in. Apparently not, as there was no way those connectors were fitting together. So where does the rear O2 sensor plug in at? And is it even worth it, as my car no longer has a catalytic converter?

They plug in next to each other. You are going to get check engine lights on without a cat which will inhibit turbo boost and other downsides. Does your state inspect emissions equipment?

One parking brake (I don't think the weak P80 brake qualifies as an E-brake, right?) is more than enough!!

Many (ehem, me included...) have survived on barely working parking brakes for over a year or more. (I need to replace my cables and just get to it already. And what sucks is that I put in new shoes when I did the brakes last year!) You're motivating me, WhatAmIDoing. (Kinda.)

We do not have state inspections here. Piles of rust that don't move have "passed". What's worse is that it passed an emissions test last year in a neighboring state with no functioning emissions equipment. Since I don't have the money to spend on a new catalytic converter, and I really don't feel like hacking up my beautiful exhaust to install it, which is worse: unplugged rear O2 sensor, or plugged in with no cat?

There was no way I could get those two connectors to join together. It's just not happening. The harness appears to have circular holes, while the O2 sensor connector has rectangular pins.

I don't think it makes much of a difference if the rear OXS is plugged in or not with no cat. You will get an extra Code as the Heater circuit won't work unplugged. I wonder if the ECU mapping changes if the car can't monitor cat efficiency ? I bet it does

Since your connector is wrong, bag it and tag it not in use.

Marco...at low speed I can lock my rear wheels with my ebrake. I like that feature on a 18 year old car on original hydraulics
