heater switch, 1995 850.

this is doing my head in, somedays the heater will switch on but most days it doesn't want to know, has anyone got an easy fix for this please,

we may get some hot weather here in the u.k.

(ha ha) but i can't use the heat or aircon without the blower, many thanks - pjay.

do you have a manual or automatic climate control ?

your 95 comes equipped with a on board diagnosis .. did you try pulling the codes? I have never had to check the codes on a manual HVAC system so im not sure how that would work with the codes.

The automatic climate control is more involved than the manual system to diganose repairs. However pulling the ACC box out is easier than the manual one because you have to reconnect cables

Usually most people replace the whole module. You can see this by taking out the dial knobs and removing the philips head screws underneath. This will allow you to pop out the unit after removing the attached damper cables.

thank you for that, i will attempt to resolve this asap, just now we are inundated with my kids and grandkids, so having 7 children running around the house and garden is too much of a distraction for me to try and do anything with my car, so i can see it getting into monday before i do it, but i will keep you posted, very many thanks to you, all the best - pete.
